Part 15B206 is the safety lock for the Graco Fusion AP and Fusion PC spray guns. Graco's service manual lists it as the safety lock, the exploded parts diagram uses the same name, and the Graco Partner Portal describes it as the safety stop shaft.
The safety lock is the component you engage to secure the gun when you are not spraying, so it matters for how safely the gun can be set down, carried and serviced. A lock that is worn, bent or missing is not something to work around, and it should be replaced before the gun goes back into use.
